Small sensors placed in the center of the football record metrics and sends the data to the Wilson Connected app wirelessly for download.
The sensors don't interfere with any aspect of ball behavior such as spin, weight or velocity.
They can record valuable metrics such as, spiral efficiency - how tight your spiral is, spin rate - how fast your ball is spinning, release time - the time between the start of the throwing motion and when the ball leaves the hand, and velocity - the speed of the ball as it leaves the hand of the QB.

QBX Camps
Wilson introduced a quarterback camp series, called QBX Camps, where QB camps run drills recording their throws with real time data. That data is shared back to the players showing them where they excel, and where they need to improve.
Throw data is also added to the NCSA Recruiting database so college coaches around the country have a set of metrics that they can evaluate QB throws on. This information is very valuable for recruiters as there has never been objective data on throws recorded until Wilson designed this technology.
Other QB training organizations like Football University, Manning Passing Academy, Rivals Camp Series, Elite 11, The Opening, QB Summit, Senior Bowl and the Shrine Bowl have all used Wilson's QBX Connected system.
